In a setting evocative of 18th century decadence and suggestive of Las Vegas postmodern pastiche, a group of chairs face away from a central table on which are placed several headphones. Audible through these, are soundscapes recorded in every casino along the Las Vegas strip, alongside which can be heard the hypnotic circling of a roulette ball. In a reversal of the expected casino environs, participants find themselves transported into a non- participatory role. As a consequence, the sonic ambience is emptied of all tension, being received instead in the more meditative atmosphere of a chillout lounge.
