Hospital

Site specific installation located at a 14th century chapel in rural Germany. Both musical composition and sculptural elements were designed to evoke the building's original function as an almshouse. The windows were blacked-out in order to achieve a hermetic, timeless atmosphere.

Using electronic instrumentation and ambient noise, the 1hr classically structured piece was organised around six movements: Prologue, Building, Procession, Lazarus, Fever & Denouement. Soundscape fragments were incorporated to engage with the historic specificity of the location.
